Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is seeking a Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering leader to drive plant improvements, oversee safety, and maintain ISO 14000 compliance. The role harmonizes TPM initiatives with continuous improvement efforts across the site.

You will supervise maintenance and engineering teams, manage budgeted projects, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance uptime and efficiency while adhering to environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • 5+ years manufacturing operations experience.
  • 2+ years supervision experience in maintenance or manufacturing engineering.
  • TPM experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to deliver results.
  • Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, including international.

Responsibilities

  • Manage research, justification and implementation of plant and equipment improvements to the facility capital budget.
  • Achieve positive budget results to support plant operations.
  • Oversee safety program and ISO 14000 environmental compliance.
  • Ensure facility ISO 14000 certification is maintained.
  • Support Lean and Six Sigma CI via TPM program and Poka-Yoke initiatives.
  • Manage equipment modifications and setup per safety/functional standards.
  • Lead and develop direct reports to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships with internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Salary Range: $115,000 to $135,000 annually plus bonus. Responsible for the management of the plant Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering functions. Assures plant operational compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Manages the facility safety program and facility ISO 14000 certification.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the research, justification and effective implementation of plant and equipment improvement projects, for inclusion in the facility capital budget
  • Achieve positive budget results in support of plant operations
  • Ensure that a clean safe work environment is maintained through the management of the Faculty Safety Program
  • Monitor and ensure full facility compliance with environmental permits and regulations
  • Obtain and preserve the facility ISO 14000 certification
  • Support the plant’s Lean and Six Sigma Continuous Improvement processes by driving uptime improvements through a plant wide Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program and through Poka-Yoke development and implementation
  • Manage plant equipment modifications and setup in compliance with safety and functionality standards
  • Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 5+yrs. manufacturing operations experience
  • 2+yrs.supervision experience in either maintenance or manufacturing engineering
  • TPM experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated successful ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen activities and Six Sigma processes
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
  • Ability to travel up to 10% including international
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product
  • ISO 14000 experience
