Job summary

Blain's Farm & Fleet is hiring a Maintenance Associate in Freeport, IL. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service while performing building maintenance and cart retrieval to ensure a smooth, pleasant shopping experience.

Responsibilities include cart retrieval, loading purchases, parking lot upkeep, floor and restroom cleaning, and supporting other departments. Must be able to work evenings and weekends and pass drug/background checks.

Qualifications

• Great communication skills.
• Prior Retail experience preferred.
• Able to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Associate would perform excellent customer service and help with the building maintenance and cart retrieval, along with other assigned duties that would ensure that the customer has an efficient, pleasant shopping experience.
• Help retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot.
• Load purchases into customer vehicles.
• Monitor and clean parking lot and cart area.
• Scrub clean and maintain facility floors and restrooms.
• Provide facility maintenance.
• Help in other departments as assigned.
• Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and procedures.
