Job Description

Maintenance Fabricator/Welder

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

General Expectations

The Fabricator/Welder position is responsible for welding and building various tables and guards as requested by the Production Team Leadership. In addition, this position will assist in keeping the various systems, tools, and machinery operational and in safe working order. The position requires a combination of maintenance experience as well as welding experience.

Duties / Responsibilities

Safety: Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.

Productivity: Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.

Stewardship: Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping your assigned area clean, and orderly.

Planning: Assist the Maintenance Manager to plan and organize the product building activities.

Attendance: Meet all attendance requirements, available for start of shift at required time, and follow the attendance rules and regulations of the plant.

Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities Required

Welding experience. Good communication skills at all levels. Ability to trouble shoot machinery, equipment, and tools – mechanically inclined. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Ability to solve problems quickly and safely using sound judgement. Some Electrical knowledge. Ability to read Blueprints. Ability to work independently. Forklift experience preferred.

Education And Qualifications

High school diploma 2 years of Welding experience Proven mechanical aptitude / passion.

• The compensation for this position is $23.00 - $30.00 an hour.
