Job summary

The City of Cheyenne is hiring a Maintenance / Events Technician to keep downtown facilities and municipal properties in good condition. You will monitor, clean, and maintain sidewalks, parking structures, and plazas, while assisting with special events and crowd-control setup.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call duties; success depends on reliable independent work and safe operation of equipment. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life and pension.

Qualifications

• Must work independently with minimal supervision.
• Become familiar with and operate powered and manual equipment.
• Read and follow written or oral instructions.
• Knowledge of downtown Cheyenne procedures and calendars.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, clean and maintain municipal properties and facilities.
• Perform snow removal and sidewalk/curb maintenance.
• Maintain street furniture, trash receptacles and planters.
• Support event setup, deployment of crowd-control equipment and safety.
• Report unsafe conditions and graffiti to authorities as needed.
• Interact professionally with public and collaborate with Police Dept.
