Job summary

Wabash in Kentucky seeks an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to evaluate and maintain manufacturing equipment and processes, identify advanced technologies, and implement new solutions across operations.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage capital projects, and drive cost-saving initiatives while upholding safety and quality standards defined by the company and Quality organization. This role demands strong collaboration and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or Technology required.
• 3 years manufacturing plant engineering/management experience with financials and project development.
• Experience with Automated Control Systems PLCs & PCs.
• Successful department budget management.
• Knowledge of Capital Project Development, Cost Estimation and Management.
• Lean manufacturing principles, 5S deployment/sustainability, WCM Strategy experience.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and MS Project.
• Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
• Proven skills in Preventive Maintenance, TPM, Reliability Based Asset Management.
• Interpersonal, Team Building and Collaborative skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

• Utilizes new technology and Lean Manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency.
• Plans, manages, and executes capital asset programs in compliance with Annual Operating Plan and established policy.
• Promotes development cost saving initiatives.
• Develops a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety.
• Assigns accountability, builds teams, hires, develops, evaluates, trains, coaches and disciplines with corrective action as needed.
• Ensures adherence to Safeway policies, practices, and procedures.
• Ensures production of a quality product in compliance with Wabash quality standards as defined by the Quality organization.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Responsibilities:

• BS Engineering or Technology required (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred or related field)
• 3 years manufacturing plant engineering/management experience which includes financial management and project development and project management experience
• Previous experience with Automated Control Systems PLCs & PCs
• Successful department budget management
• Knowledge of Capital Project Development, Cost Estimation and Management
