Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum Tennalum in Jackson, Tennessee, seeks an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and project engineering, driving reliability and continuous improvement across plant assets.

You will deploy preventive/predictive maintenance practices, lead Lean initiatives, and manage capital projects while mentoring teams and controlling costs. A bachelor’s in engineering is required, MBA preferred, with 7+ years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field.
• MBA preferred for advanced leadership and strategy.
• 7+ years in manufacturing leading maintenance and engineering.
• Experience in aluminum extrusion, drawing, or heavy metals.
• Strong reliability analytics and data-driven approach.
• Proficient with Maximo CMMS and project management.
• Financial management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration and continuous improvement of Work Management System.
• Lead Project Engineering Team to sustain asset reliability and uptime.
• Deploy preventive/predictive maintenance and reliability analytics.
• Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, and standardized work improvements.
• Manage training and development to align with objectives.
• Control costs and manage departmental spending with Earned/Forecast.
• Plan capital asset programs within policy and annual plan.
• Coordinate with vendors and sustain networks for equipment.
• Ensure TPM completion and use MTBF data for improvements.
• Lead change management and reliability engineering initiatives.
