Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana, seeks a Finishing Maintenance Superintendent to lead the maintenance team, drive reliability, and coordinate assets across the plant. The position requires 5+ years in maintenance leadership, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, and a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively increasing leadership experience in maintenance or engineering in industrial, commercial, or military settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or business-related field required.
• 8+ years’ experience in mechanics, machine operations, electric-electronics, instrumentation, or related maintenance in industrial or military environments. CMRP and union leadership experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and motivate subordinate personnel to meet department objectives safely and environmentally.
• Coordinate daily activities to maintain plant assets and sustain continuous operations.
• Supervise craft teams and perform maintenance supervision for various plant areas.
• Provide technical expertise for reliability procedures and process efficiency improvements.
• Facilitate root cause analyses of asset failures and degradation of major equipment including substations.
• Oversee predictive and preventative maintenance programs while minimizing repair costs.
• Partner with asset owners to manage asset health and ensure cross-department communication.
• Deliver technical training to improve maintenance performance and reliability goals.
• Develop CMMS competencies for supervisors and crafts staff.
• Support labor relations and act as maintenance representative on union contract issues.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring the maintenance budget to meet financial targets.
• Fulfill Environmental, Health & Safety requirements for the department.
