Job summary

Tulsa Community College seeks a skilled trades worker to perform manual duties in the repair and maintenance of campus physical plant equipment, following established procedures. This is a Safety Sensitive position under Oklahoma law.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a Third Class Engineer's license, and hands-on experience with boilers, electrical and plumbing tasks. You will work independently and support preventive maintenance across campus facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active Mechanical Apprentice Card or signed application within 30 days of hire.
• One year boiler system operating experience requiring a Third Class Engineer's license.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience with minor electrical and minor plumbing.
• Experience implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to move heavy objects (50 pounds).

This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Active State of Oklahoma’s Mechanical Apprentice Card, or confirmation that a signed application (by College Mechanical Contractor) will be submitted within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year operating experience on boilers and boiler systems requiring a Third Class Engineer's license.
• Ability to perform responsibilities on one’s own initiative with limited supervision.
• Experience with minor electrical and minor plumbing jobs.
• Experience with implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to move heavy objects (50 pounds).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer education and/or formal training of equipment requiring a Third Class Engineer's license.
