Nesco Resource seeks a Maintenance Engineer Specialist to improve plant performance and reliability. You'll lead maintenance initiatives, provide technical support to the team, and manage resources while collaborating closely with production leadership to enhance operational success.
Position: Maintenance Engineer Specialist
Location: Onsite | Full-Time | Exempt
Are you a hands-on engineering professional with a passion for solving complex maintenance challenges and improving plant performance? As a Maintenance Engineer Specialist, you'll play a key role in driving equipment reliability, optimizing preventative maintenance strategies, and supporting long-term operational success.
This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, leading improvements, and working closely with both technical teams and production leadership.
Provide technical support and mentorship to the maintenance team
Lead long-term maintenance planning and reliability initiatives
Design, specify, and source both specialized and standard spare parts
Manage and improve the work order system using data to drive decisions
Coordinate emergency and routine maintenance activities with manufacturing
Monitor department budgets, Client planning, and future growth needs
Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure maintenance goals are met
Maintain and evolve predictive and preventative maintenance systems
Track KPIs and improvement targets for continuous optimization
For Electrical Focus:
Hands-on experience with DCS and PLC programming, troubleshooting, and refinement
Strong understanding of electrical power systems and circuitry
Familiarity with CNC control systems
For Mechanical Focus:
Working knowledge of mechanical system design and maintenance
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Preferred:
Background in HPDC and CNC machine maintenance is highly desirable
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), OR 4–6 years of relevant experience
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings, write reports, and use data for decision-making
