Job summary

Lubrizol IMEA seeks a Maintenance Engineer in Deer Park, TX to act as SME for equipment failures and repairs, driving root-cause investigations and robust troubleshooting with the Maintenance Technologist. You will guide repair plans, ensure proper engineering input, and support safety and reliability in a chemical processing environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 3+ years of maintenance engineering experience, and SAP proficiency within maintenance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance engineering experience in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment.
Experience with SAP within the maintenance department.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
Collaborate with Maintenance Technologist to ensure jobs include both technical and field experience during troubleshooting, procedures, repair plans.
Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures and repairs, and evaluate equipment for service conditions.
Ensure repair details include clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, and welding procedures for critical equipment.
Provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from engineering data when necessary.
Ensure repairs and repair techniques are documented and training is provided.
