About the Role
The Maintenance Technician supports daily hotel maintenance and repair needs to keep the property safe, clean, and fully operational.
Essential Functions
Respond to maintenance requests in guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on rooms, equipment, and building systems.
Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues.
Conduct regular inspections to identify needed repairs.
Assist with room turns and out-of-order room recoveries.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of shops, storage, and work areas.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Assist with vendor access and support contracted work as needed.
Maintain work order documentation and logs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience
Prior hotel, apartment, or commercial maintenance experience preferred (willing to train with basic skills).
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Trade school or HVAC/electrical/plumbing training a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
Ability to troubleshoot common issues.
Strong time management and ability to prioritize work orders.
Professional guest interaction and communication.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Availability
Scheduling may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, work in mechanical spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
This position operates in a hotel facilities environment and may involve exposure to mechanical spaces, noise, and variable temperatures.
