Job summary

gpac is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for its Food Application Center in Plymouth, WI. The role involves configuring, troubleshooting, aligning, commissioning equipment for customer trials in a food-processing environment.

You will work with sophisticated machinery for trials, product development, milling, extrusion, and other food applications, requiring strong mechanical/electrical skills and PLC experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance or field service experience.
• Food manufacturing or food-processing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• PLC experience; Allen-Bradley preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and equipment repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment; Allen-Bradley experience preferred.
• Set up, configure, align, and commission machinery for customer trials.
• Modify milling equipment and machine configurations for different applications.
• Support milling and extrusion trials for internal and external customers.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Maintain and update maintenance schedules.
• Partner with engineering on equipment upgrades and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and support required inspections.
• Support facility utilities and Food Application Center operations.
• Help reduce downtime and ensure equipment is ready for customer trials.
• Support Food Safety and 5S initiatives.
• Participate in maintenance training and continual learning.
