Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide mechanical engineering expertise for plant Operations and Maintenance. You will troubleshoot failures, assist with repairs, and help shape equipment strategies while collaborating with a diverse team to deliver reliable, safe, and compliant maintenance practices.

You will work on developing procedures, supporting the PPM program, and training Crafts and Operators to ensure high-quality repairs and equipment

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
3+ years of Maintenance Engineering experience in a chemical processing/manufacturing environment.
Experience with SAP within the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities

Serve as a SME in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
Work with the Maintenance Technologist to ensure technical and field experience during troubleshooting and planning.
Provide technical input on repairs and evaluate whether equipment meets service conditions.
Ensure repair details include clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc.
Provide technical support for specification, identification, and purchasing of required parts.
Provide maintainability input into Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy.
Support Operations in developing operating procedures for start/stop procedures.
Review History Feedback forms for unusual findings and assist with planning.
