Job summary

RAM Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee property maintenance, including grounds, building facilities and guest rooms. You will perform preventive maintenance, small repairs and coordinate with the General Manager to address maintenance needs and ensure guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in maintenance or engineering, knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing, and the ability to lead a small team. Flexibility with schedules and physical endurance are required.

Qualifications

• Preferably 3 years’ experience in janitorial, general maintenance or engineering related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC, PTAC, gas furnace, heaters, electrical, plumbing and irrigation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order and install small maintenance items as needed for repair under management direction.
• Effectively manage a team of two or more people within various departments.
• Complete tasks on the daily Maintenance Checklist.
• Complete Maintenance Request Forms within 24 hours.
• Perform preventive maintenance on a timely basis.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies on a 24-hour call basis.
• Practice safe working conditions per OSHA guidelines.

POSITION: Maintenance Engineer

JOBSUMMARY

TheMaintenance Engineer oversees property maintenance of grounds, buildingfacilities and guest rooms. He/She is responsible for the daily cleaning andupkeep of all common areas, preventive maintenance, small repair and tasks,special projects, and communicating larger maintenance needs to the GeneralManager. JOBRESPONSIBILITIES

• Order and install small maintenance items asneeded for repair, under direction of management
• Effectively manage a team of two or more people,within various departments
• Complete tasks and assignments on the dailyMaintenance Checklist
• Complete Maintenance Request Forms within 24hours
• Complete Preventive Maintenance program on atimely basis
• Respond to maintenance emergencies timely, on a24-hour call basis
• Practice safe working conditions underOccupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines to includeBloodborne Pathogens
• Practice safe chemical handling as prescribed inMaterial Safety and Data Sheets
• Perform other such duties assigned by PropertyManagement to meet guest or operational needs
• Clears trash and empties property trashcontainers daily
• Sweeps and cleans sidewalks and stairs as needed(trash and weather related)
• Clears debris from parking lot, landscaping, anddumpster area daily
• Ensures exterior building and grounds are cleanby use of a pressure washer and blower
• Paints walls, ceilings, doors and window trim asneeded
• Provides Preventive Maintenance to guest roomsand all areas of the property
• Perform othertasks as necessary or required to meet or exceed guest satisfaction

PROFESSIONALEXPERIENCE

• Preferably 3 years’ experience injanitorial, general maintenance or engineering related field
• Knowledge of HVAC, PTAC, gas furnace,heaters, dryers, pools, low voltage fire alarms, electrical, plumbing, andirrigations preferred

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in the hospitality industry (preferred)
• Hotel Management Operations experience(preferred)
• Knowledge of government relations regarding hoteloperations (preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be flexible to work varied schedules
• Ability to reach over head and work on knees
• Ability to work in hot or cold environment
• Must have the physical ability to walk, bend, andstand for long time periods
• Must be able to lift up. to 50 lbs.
