Job summary

Westfall Technik Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure availability, reliability, and continuous improvement of plastic injection molding equipment.

You will lead corrective and preventive maintenance, drive improvements, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Projects teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in plastics maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and experience with TPM, Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic injection machinery maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and automation systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, servo drives, robotics, and electrical schematics.
• Experience in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma is desirable.
• Management of OEE, MTTR, and MTBF indicators.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Technical leadership and work under pressure.
• Advanced English and Spanish language skills (preferable).

Responsibilities

• Corrective and Preventive Maintenance of plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; perform routine inspections and tests to prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
• Install equipment and oversee the installation of new machinery and systems.
• Provide support for chillers, regulators, material handlers, compressors, robots, and extraction systems.
• Document activities and ensure traceability in the IQMS system.
• Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
• Analyze and report on KPIs: MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, downtime, OEE.
• Collaborate with Production, Tool Room, and Projects departments.
