Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing setting with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Appropriate qualifications and time-served experience.
• Familiarity with schematics and logic controllers is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written; team player and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Install and improve plant, machinery, utilities, building and facilities.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Assist with machinery controls, programming and PLC-related requirements.
• Undertake engineering and site projects and document maintenance activities.

Job Title - Maintenance Engineer

Our Client are a leading manufacturer in the heart of Gloucester are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join the team on days. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to maintain and repair equipment efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and systems, contributing to overall productivity and safety within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance of all equipment.
• Installation and continuous improvement of all plant, machinery, utilities, building and facilities.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
• Assist with machinery controls, programming and PLC related requirements.
• Undertake engineering and site projects
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they scale.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs performed.
