Link Technical Talent is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician – Full Training, 4 on 4 off, in Newport News, VA. You will join an industrial team and receive extensive on-the-job training to progress into a Maintenance Engineer role.

Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 with specialist training, choice of day or night shifts, a 20% night-shift premium, job security, and an excellent benefits package. Commutable from nearby Atlantic coast communities and driven to grow technically.

Qualifications

• Some mechanical and/or electrical experience with assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, or industrial equipment.
• Willingness to learn and adopt specialised training to progress to Maintenance Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Choose between 4-on, 4-off days (6am–6pm) or nights (6pm–6am) and support the engineering team.
• Learn from experienced Maintenance Engineers while working on large fixtures and machinery.
• Develop skills in troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment operation with a pathway to Maintenance Engineer.

Are you a Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Millwright, Welder, or similar, looking to join a market-leading business, offering extensive training to develop you into a Maintenance Engineer?

Do you want to work alongside experienced Maintenance Engineers, learning on state-of-the-art industrial machinery while developing your electrical and mechanical skillset?

This company is growing rapidly and have lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. They are now looking for additional Maintenance Technicians to support their engineering team at a local site.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced Maintenance Engineers, supporting customers with large production fixtures and machinery. You will learn how to operate and maintain the equipment, support operators, assist with troubleshooting and repairs, and gradually take on greater technical responsibility as your skills develop.

This role would suit a Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Millwright, Welder, or similar from an industrial background, looking for extensive on-the-job training and a clear pathway into a Maintenance Engineer position.

The Role:

• Choice of 4-on, 4-off days (6am–6pm) or nights (6pm–6am)
• Support and learn from experienced Maintenance Engineers working on large industrial fixtures and machinery
• Receive specialist training in troubleshooting, repairs, equipment operation, and maintenance, with progression into a Maintenance Engineer role

The Person:

• Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Millwright, Welder, Assembly Technician, or similar
• Some mechanical and/or electrical experience with assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, or industrial equipment
• Looking to receive specialist training and progress to Maintenance Engineer level
