Matern Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Engineer for an apparel distribution center in Ashland to ensure the optimization and smooth operation of facility systems, including conveyors, motors, belts, scanners, and VFDs.

You will train staff, supervise facilities personnel, and collaborate with IT and vendors to diagnose and resolve issues, while developing preventive maintenance programs and managing spare parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with industrial equipment.
• 1-3 years of relevant equipment maintenance experience, particularly with conveyors.
• Ability to travel and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair facility systems, including conveyors and control systems (e.g., motors, belts, scanners, VFDs).
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components like photo eyes, solenoids, air valves, and motors.
• Supervise and train Facilities employees in the distribution center, ensuring safe and efficient workflows.
• Collaborate with IT, vendor support, and staff to diagnose and resolve operational issues.
• Develop and execute training programs for maintenance personnel and distribution center staff.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate HAZMAT records.
• Respond to operational inquiries and resolve facility-related issues quickly and professionally.

Job Description

Matern Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Engineer for an apparel distribution center in Ashland to ensure the optimization and smooth operation of facility systems. The Maintenance Engineer is essential for the upkeep of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic controls, material handling systems, and building conditions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help maximize the performance, stability, and scalability of the distribution systems.

By keeping operations running efficiently, training staff, and assisting with future automation rollouts, you’ll play a vital role in delivering products that bring joy and connection to people everywhere.

Salary:

$80,960 - $110,400

Schedule:

1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday

2nd shift: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm Monday through Friday

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience with industrial equipment
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, particularly with conveyors
• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Leadership and training experience, with a focus on team collaboration and effective communication
• Ability to travel as needed to support additional sites and train new staff
• Flexibility with schedule, including off‑hours support as required
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks
