Job summary

Horseshoe Casino is seeking a Level II Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems across the property. The role involves working independently under supervision and helping train Level I engineers, with duties spanning public areas and guest rooms.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in multiple systems, valid HVAC/electrical certifications, and a strong teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in at least two areas: heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing or telephone systems.
• Licenses or certifications in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics.
• Welding of other electrical, structural, or building discipline is highly desired and preferred.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must work well in a team and with co-workers.
• Must be able to maneuver for prolonged periods, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
• Must have coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repair duties on all building mechanical systems, equipment and tools.
• Operates and repairs energy management equipment.
• Operates life safety systems, maintenance and repair in public areas and guest rooms.
• The Level II Maintenance Engineer will perform many activities independently under general supervision of the Lead Maintenance Engineer.
• This position will also assist in the training of Level I Maintenance Engineers.

Qualifications

• Respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, jump and carry heavy loads.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
• Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in all situations.
• Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation and repair procedures of the property mechanical systems, equipment and life safety system.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
