ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Complete work orders in timely manner, maintenance of buildings, and all related equipment, helps log service tickets into online data base. Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two way communication concerning maintenance issues. Routine building maintenance, pressure washing, painting and ground care. Carpentry and plumbing as needed. Company vehicle and tools provided.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED equivalent but not required.

A minimum of 4 years experience with general inside and outside facilities maintenance . Experience in minor electrical, AC, plumbing, roof, painting and wall repair required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of general equipment maintenance, basic building maintenance
  • Knowledge of hand/power tools
  • Knowledge of grounds maintenance practices, mowing, weed eating, etc.
  • Basic computer skills, turning on, signing in, entering data
  • Ability to effectively and safely operate electrical, non-electrical, and gas hand tools
  • Ability to interact verbally and in writing with venders, suppliers, and other staff
  • Ability to climb ladders, rake, shovel, push-pull, lift small equipment
  • Ability to work in a positive, professional manner with clients, staff and team
  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs, work outdoors for prolonged periods of time.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have valid drivers license or state identification card.

Must pass level II background screening and drug screen.
