Job summary

Novo Nordisk seeks an experienced maintenance engineer for the NC API facility in Clayton to lead maintenance performance improvements and support reliability of production equipment. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, develop plans, and mentor staff in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

The role emphasizes RCA, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within cGMP frameworks, with opportunities to contribute to design reviews and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years in utilities or process equipment maintenance required.
• Experience in plant operations with RCA, troubleshooting, problem resolution and CI preferred.
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing with cGMPs is a plus; Six Sigma/Lean is a plus.
• Knowledge of API systems maintenance and related documentation is beneficial.
• Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, PFDs and URS/FAT/QA documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance performance improvement projects and initiatives.
• Support manufacturing and production teams to ensure maintenance compliance.
• Provide technical support to site stakeholders to meet goals.
• Coach and mentor maintenance team members.
• Develop and maintain maintenance plans and SOPs; support design reviews.
