Job summary

Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems running smoothly at a beachfront hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, respond to operational issues, and support guest comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience in hotel maintenance; trade licenses are highly desirable and a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred.
• Trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or carpentry is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and daily inspections of plumbing, HVAC, electrical and related systems.
• Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to keep the hotel operational.
• Respond to emergencies and safety concerns with guests and staff in mind.
