Job summary

Auberge Beach Residences in Fort Lauderdale seeks an Engineer to join our engineering team and manage all technical operations for the hotel. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, and related equipment to ensure seamless guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, hotel/pm engineering experience preferred, proficiency with power tools, the ability to read technical instructions, strong English communication, and a valid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a technician or engineer in a hotel or property management preferred.
• Experience with power tools use and safety.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment, furniture and warning labels.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and refrigeration.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
• Perform minor carpentry tasks.
• Safely use power tools and equipment.
• Support repairs of gas-fired equipment, doors, and audiovisual equipment as needed.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and emergencies.
• Log and communicate essential information in the Engineering logbook.
• Maintain knowledge of resort fire, water, septic, and irrigation systems.
• Support sustainability initiatives as part of Planet Auberge program.
