Job summary

DelMonte Hotel Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for its property in Beachwood, OH. The role focuses on sustaining building systems, equipment, and guest room facilities to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Front Desk and Housekeeping to maintain room status and safety. This is a full-time on-site position offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months related experience in engineering and maintenance or related area.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and complete tasks individually.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot equipment, systems and facilities and make appropriate repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and on equipment.
• Perform pool and spa maintenance according to specs and Health Department rules.
• Assist with outdoor seasonal work including lawn mowing and snow removal.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the engineering shop and related areas.
• Log readings from meters, gauges and other units; communicate room status changes.
• Maintain knowledge of Fire Alarms/Life Safety Systems and handle emergencies.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture and supplying storage needs.
• Provide safe transportation to guests using hotel shuttle vehicle as needed.
