Job summary

Sheraton San Gabriel is seeking an experienced Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The role covers maintenance and repair of hotel equipment, ensuring safety and guest comfort. You will collaborate with the Engineering department and other teams, perform routine tasks, and keep accurate maintenance records.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in English. Some certificates in relevant trades are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Certificates or equivalent in electrical, heating/air conditioning, HVAC-R, carpentry, plumbing, refrigerant recovery/handling preferred
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Respond to guest calls and assist or repair items in guest rooms in a fast and friendly manner.
• Perform general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including but not limited to locks, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, etc.
• Adhere to hotel safety standards.
• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient maintenance operations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Must be a team player and be able to work well with others with the Engineering department as well as all other departments and outside contractors.
