Overview

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Hilton Minneapolis team of hospitality enthusiasts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform general maintenance in guest units, buildings, pools, and common areas.
2. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for repairing and troubleshooting carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
3. Repair and install appliances with minimal supervision.
4. Maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, and tubs.
5. Troubleshoot electrical issues with equipment, fixtures, outlets, and switches.
6. Inspect and perform preventative maintenance in units and public areas.
7. Report, respond to, and repair safety issues across the property.
8. Complete daily assignments timely and prioritize work orders accordingly.
9. Maintain property appearance through trash removal, spill cleanup, and exterior fixture cleaning.
10. Perform minor plaster repairs and blend renovated wall surfaces.
11. Apply wallpaper, paint, sealers, and solvents to various building surfaces.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma required; post-high school education preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance role, preferably in hotels.
• Two years of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines is preferred but not required.
