Job summary

GPAC is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its technical applications team in the Minneapolis area. This role focuses on maintenance beyond the plant level, with exposure to process engineering, customer applications, and advanced food processing equipment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, support setup and changeovers, and assist with customer trials and product testing, developing expertise in how complete processing systems work together.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree in Maintenance Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment layouts.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused mindset and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
• Support equipment setup, changeovers, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with customer trials and product testing initiatives.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment and automated processing systems.
• Follow SOPs and ensure equipment is properly configured for testing and production activities.
• Identify opportunities for equipment reliability and process improvements.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and technical teams to support customer success.
