Job summary

GPAC seeks a Maintenance Engineer for its technical applications team in the Minneapolis area. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize milling and food processing equipment, supporting product development, trials, and customer interactions.

The role offers growth into Process Engineering or Technical Applications, with exposure to advanced processing systems, automation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment layouts.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused mindset and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
• Support equipment setup, changeovers, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with customer trials and product testing initiatives.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment and automated processing systems.
• Follow SOPs and ensure equipment is properly configured for testing and production activities.
• Identify opportunities for equipment reliability and process improvements.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and technical teams to support customer success.

Opportunity Overview: GPAC is partnering with a global leader in food processing technology to confidentially hire a Maintenance Engineer for its technical applications team in the Minneapolis area.

This is a unique opportunity for a maintenance professional who wants to expand beyond plant maintenance and gain exposure to process engineering, customer applications, and advanced food processing equipment.

In this role, you'll support specialized milling and food processing systems used for product development, process optimization, and customer trials. You'll troubleshoot equipment, perform maintenance activities, assist with machine setup and changeovers, and develop expertise in how complete processing systems work together.
