MissionHires is partnering with a large manufacturer in East Tennessee (Dandridge/Morristown area) to hire a Maintenance Engineer focused on building an early-stage Maintenance Reliability program. You will collect and analyze machine data, identify root causes of downtime, and drive corrective and preventive actions while collaborating closely with Maintenance, Engineering, technicians, and operators. This on-site role requires strong floor presence and the ability to clearly communicate maintenance insights to leadership. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support a Maintenance Reliability program to capture, structure, and analyze machine data
• Monitor equipment performance, identify root causes of downtime, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize equipment downtime
• Spend significant time on the production floor engaging with Maintenance Technicians and Operators to validate issues and solutions
• Translate maintenance and reliability findings into clear updates and recommendations for the leadership team
• Establish and refine data collection standards, metrics, and reporting cadences for reliability
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment uptime and asset health

Requirements

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• BS degree in Engineering
• Comfort working on the production floor and collaborating with Maintenance Technicians and Operators
• Ability to analyze maintenance data to determine root causes and prioritize actions
• Strong communication skills to present maintenance insights and reliability metrics to leadership
• Willingness to help build and mature a reliability program in a high-performing manufacturing setting
• Ability to work on-site in the Dandridge/Morristown, TN area (relocation assistance available)
