Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa located near Austin, Texas, seeks a hands-on General Maintenance Engineer B to keep our resort spaces functional and inviting. This role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, with weekend and holiday shifts required, and AM/PM flexibility to support guest needs.

You will inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, handle urgent repairs, and collaborate with departments to ensure safety and comfort for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in general maintenance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform minor carpentry, painting, and wall covering repairs.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Handle guest calls, emergency repairs and unscheduled maintenance tasks as needed.
• Repair and maintain HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, and wall repairs.
• Ensure the security and proper use of maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and update logs as required.
• Monitor and maintain the efficiency of equipment and electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, guest entrance/access doors, and lighting systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and effective resolution of maintenance issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
