Job summary

Hyatt Regency Austin is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. The role primarily covers repairs in guest rooms and support for maintenance requests across hotel spaces, including preventative work in guest areas.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience required.
• Experience with painting and tile/wall repair strongly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electricity, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Repair guest room components and assist with maintenance requests throughout the hotel.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and some public areas.
• Engage in painting, drywall repair, tile repair, and wall vinyl work as needed.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
