Hyatt Regency Austin seeks a skilled General Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. The role focuses on repairs in guest rooms, with occasional assistance in other areas, along with preventative maintenance in guest rooms and some public spaces.

Responsibilities include painting, drywall and tile repair, wall vinyl repair, and ensuring smooth operation of building systems. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous general hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
• Experience involving painting and tile/wall repair strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.)
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

The General Maintenance Engineer will be responsible primarily for repairs in guest rooms but may assist with maintenance requests in other areas of the hotel.
