A leading hospitality group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the upkeep of hotel facilities and respond to maintenance issues. The ideal candidate will have prior hotel engineering experience and relevant certifications. This role involves hands-on maintenance tasks across various systems, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment for guests.
Purpose of the Position
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel areas and all hotel assets to an acceptable quality standard.
Essential Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
Qualifications and Skills:
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent lifting/carrying of objects up to 25 lbs., and significant walking or standing, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
Environmental Conditions: Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, approximately 75% or more inside.
Noise and Vibration: Exposure to noise and vibration that may cause distraction or injury.
Temperature Changes: Exposure to noticeable and abrupt temperature variations.
Math Skills: Ability to compute ratios, proportions, percentages, surface areas, volumes, weights, and measures.
Language Skills: Ability to read instructions and safety rules, communicate confidently in English.
Relationships to Data, People, and Things:
Specific vocational preparation includes vocational education, apprenticeships, in-plant training, on-the-job training, or relevant experience lasting over 3 months up to 6 months.
