Job summary

Quorum Hospitality seeks a Maintenance Engineer at Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown to maintain property infrastructure and ensure guest satisfaction. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and assist with daily operations to support a seamless guest experience.

The role requires prior hotel maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a willingness to work on-site with physical requirements. Eligible team members receive health benefits and retirement options.

  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hotel infrastructure, fix equipment and handle guest requests.
  • Perform preventative maintenance across carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor repairs.
  • Conduct regular property walks and address maintenance issues promptly.

We’re searching for a skilled Maintenance Engineer who will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that every aspect of our property operates smoothly and efficiently. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our guests have a seamless and memorable stay, and you'll be celebrated for your dedication and expertise.

Your Role:

As our Maintenance Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind maintaining our hotel's infrastructure, from fixing equipment and handling guest requests to performing preventative maintenance. Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Handle maintenance requests swiftly and effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction with timely solutions.
  • Follow established procedures and policies diligently, and report emergencies or unusual situations immediately.
  • Perform a range of preventative maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor repairs, contributing to the hotel's upkeep including guest rooms, meeting rooms, equipment, and furniture.
  • Conduct regular property walks to monitor cleanliness and address any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Immediately follow up on any alarms or safety concerns.
  • Assist in maintenance of health code requirements for pool and spa.
  • Regular property walks throughout the day to ensure proper cleaning/sanitation is occurring.
  • Assist housekeeping in stripping rooms, carting laundry, sanitizing the gym/fitness center as needed.
  • Assist with setting up meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior Engineering experience in a hotel or similar field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
