Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the assembly line equipment, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, commissioning, and improvements to production machines.

You will conduct root cause analysis, implement Poka-Yoke solutions, troubleshoot equipment failures, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to boost OEE and reliability while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 1–3 years in maintenance or production equipment support.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and RCA techniques.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, pneumatics and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Good problem solving and teamwork.

Job description

Role Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for assembly line equipment.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and improvement of production machines and equipment.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions to eliminate recurring machine issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide timely corrective actions to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and maintainability.

Role Purpose

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and production efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards. Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime to support business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or production equipment support.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, pneumatic systems, and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Good problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, or OEE concepts is an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
