Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Town of Amherst is seeking an energetic Maintenance Engineer to join our team. You’ll oversee the property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms, performing preventive maintenance and repairs to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a hotel maintenance position (preferred).
• One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines (preferred but not required).
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Inspect fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain adequate supplies of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance orders promptly.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform daily rounds, identify and report problems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
