Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will oversee property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms while performing preventative maintenance and repairs to HVAC, electrical systems, and carpentry tasks.

The role requires hands-on experience in hotel maintenance, strong communication, and timely response to work orders, with potential for growth within a diverse portfolio across multiple brands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a hotel maintenance position preferred.
• One year of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms.
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain spare parts and light bulbs.
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfills work orders promptly.
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (3) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
