Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to lead development of maintenance concepts, LSAR and source data for Stryker projects.

You will interface with design engineers, IPT leads and other functions to ensure logistics and maintainability requirements are addressed, developing contract deliverables on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, engineering technology, engineering or business-related fields.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with ground combat vehicles.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-1388-2B and GEIA-STD-0007.
• Experience with LSA/LSAR and SlicWave.

Responsibilities

• Develop all contract deliverables on or below budget and on or ahead of schedule.
• Interface with design engineers, IPT Leads and other functions to ensure logistics, supportability, and maintainability issues are addressed.
• Perform supportability analysis and maintenance task analysis.
• Review drawings, CRs, ECPs and other docs to identify maintenance and supply support requirements.
• Maintain and update LSAR per GEIA/MIL standards and SLICWAVE.
• Develop maintenance source data for Field Maintenance Technical Manuals and related publications.
• Assess emerging designs for requirements compliance and recommend design improvements.
• Document results of task analyses in LSAR database.
• Translate engineering information into source data for ILS products.

This position is for an experienced maintenance engineer (ME) who will lead the development of maintenance concepts, publications source data and LSAR for all Stryker projects.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role

• Develop all contract deliverables on or below budget and on or ahead of schedule.
• Interface with design engineers, Integrated Product Team Leads (IPT), and other functional organizations to ensure logistics, supportability, and maintainability issues are adequately addressed.
• Perform supportability analysis and maintenance task analysis.
• Review drawings, Change Requests (CR), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), computer models and other technical documentation to identify maintenance and supply support requirements for the design.
• Maintain and update of LSAR in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007, MIL-STD-1388-2B, and SLICWAVE.
• Develop Maintenance Engineering source data to be used in the creation of Field Maintenance Technical Manuals, Modification Work Orders (MWO), National Maintenance Work Requests (NMWR), and other publications.
• Assess emerging designs for requirements compliance and recommend design alternatives to enhance supportability and maintainability.
• Conduct detailed tasks analysis as part of the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) process to identify resources required to maintain and support the design.
• Document results of the detailed task analysis in the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database.
• Translate engineering & other technical information into source data in support of ILS products development.
• Support/assist the ILS products developers with using source data provided.
• Support Logistic Demonstrations and ILS products validation/verification efforts as required.
• Support field test activities, track and document test incidents and provide close out reports as required.
• Investigate customer and internal inquiries and provide responses, reports, and materials as required.

Qualifications Sought

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Engineering Technology, Engineering, or Business-related fields required. Other degrees will be considered with related experience.
• Hands on experience in the maintenance of ground combat vehicles.
• Knowledge of the current Stryker vehicle designs.
• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-1388-2B and GEIA-STD-0007.
• Experience with LSA/LSAR and SlicWave required.
• Knowledge of Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE).
• Working knowledge of U.S. Army logistics support structure, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications (oral and written) skills required.
• Motivation to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Personal computer skills, expertise with use of Teamcenter, CAD models (CREO, PRO-E, Product View) for analysis and source data development, and proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of Engineering Design Review Process including the development of required Maintenance Engineering artifacts including FMECA, MTL and RCM.
• Knowledge of the Validation/Verification process.
• Occasional weekday and/or weekend overtime required.
