Job summary

Castleview Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer dedicated to keeping essential hospital operations safe and reliable. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, systems, and facilities to support patient care.

The role requires two years of institutional or commercial maintenance experience and a high school diploma. On-call shifts and occasional overtime may apply, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 8am–4:30pm.

• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures.
• Install, test, maintain, operate and repair machinery as needed.
• Assist with inspection and maintenance of fire safety equipment and building systems.
• Move and assemble furniture and handle related duties.

How you'll contribute

The Maintenance Engineer performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility.

A Maintenance Engineer who excels in this role:

• Installs, tests, maintains, operates and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Performs major and minor maintenance work.
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
• Assists with inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment, building systems, and utility systems as assigned.
• Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
• Assembles and relocates furniture.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years institutional/commercial maintenance experience required
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems required

Schedule

M-F 8am- 4:30pm

On Call from 5:00 pm - 8:00 am every 3 weeks (call shifts won't start for at least a minimum of 6 months after being hired)

Occasional OT & Weekend work for events
