We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our amazing Hoxton Team! The role is based within the property and works directly with the Director of Engineering.

About The Hoxton, Downtown LA

Located on buzzing Broadway in LA's Downtown, the property has a rich LA history. It features 174 rooms, a rooftop Peruvian-inspired restaurant by Top Chef Stephanie Izard, Cabra, an all-day lobby restaurant Moonlarks, a rooftop pool, and outdoor seating to enjoy LA weather.

Job Description

• Maintain guest rooms and areas for comfort and safety.
• Use technical skills to solve problems and repair effectively.
• Respond courteously to guest requests and resolve issues.
• Keep mechanical areas safe, clean, and organized; maintain records.
• Respond to planned maintenance work orders promptly.
• Use digital work management systems accurately.
• Seek continual departmental and hotel improvements.
• Notify supervisors of equipment and supply needs.
• Learn and respond to emergency procedures.
• Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and laws.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in trades such as painting, carpentry, electrical work, pool maintenance, HVAC, or kitchen repairs.
• Ability to communicate technical info simply and professionally.
