Choice Hotels International, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for the Radisson La Crosse, a 163-room hotel offering Riverside Park views. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and rapid repairs to guest rooms and heart-of-house areas in line with brand standards.

Typical shifts cover days and evenings, with weekends and holidays. Training is provided for the right candidate eager to grow in hospitality maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will have facility maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Works well independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to exceptional guest service
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
• Working knowledge of computer and math skills.
• Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work is also a benefit
• Certifications for HVAC CPO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
• Maintains problem logbook to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly
• Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes immediate action to correct
• Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed
• Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.)
• Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
• Maintains the condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants
• Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary
• Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs

Position Summary

The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to maintain the hotel’s customer and heart of house areas in accordance with brand standards by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary. The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team! Experience is not required, as we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow in the role. The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is a 163 room Hotel nestled within Riverside Park overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.

SHIFT

Full Time | 40 Hours per Week | Schedule will include a combination of day and evening/night shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., with a primary focus on evening/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
