Job summary

Brembo North America in Michigan seeks a Maintenance Data & Operations Analyst to standardize maintenance methodologies, manage data, and monitor KPIs across plant operations.

You will analyze deviations, identify causes, plan interventions, support preventative maintenance, and work with purchasing to optimize spare parts, driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Candidates should have strong data analysis skills, experience in maintenance planning, and knowledge of Kaizen practices.

Job description

To standardize and improve maintenance methodologies managing maintenance data and KPIs.

A. Data Analysis:

• Guarantees the management of data detecting and analyzing activity concerning plant operations with particular attention to damages/stops.
• Analyzes plant operations and eventual deviations, searching for causes and planning interventions suggesting eventual solutions in order to promote continuous improvement
• Data analysis and statistical influence to determine damage diagnostics
• Guarantees the detection of causes, types, frequency, costs of maintenance interventions for a damages diagnostics, analyzing the acquired data and processing them in statistic form to suggest improving actions
• Ensures the updating of preventative maintenance plans
• Contributes to the spare-parts warehouse management, planning, purchasing times, costs, stock levels and strategic importance
• Ensures the control of Maintenance costs, according to his area budget
• Defines benchmarks concerning maintenance control index/parameters and establish referring report.
• Works with purchasing department to search externally for the right suppliers to improve costs, timing, and availability of spare parts.
• Guarantees the analysis of plants operations and eventual deviations, searching for causes and planning interventions suggesting eventual solutions in order to promote continuous improving.

C. Solves Operational Problems:

• Investigates machine downtime and determines what intervention is needed.
• Ensures the correct management of operational deviation.
• Designing and modifying parts in order to promote continuous improvement
• Detects causes, types frequency, costs of maintenance interventions for damage diagnostics
• Guarantees the correct mechanical and electric operations of plants as well as the efficiency of the scheduled preventive and ordinary maintenance, through a correct planning of interventions
• Works with plant HSE Manager to monitor safety and environmental risks and informs the plant manager of any new or previously unknown risks.

D. Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the technical condition and environment of their assigned area
• Supervises Installation of new equipment in their assigned area
• Defines spare parts stocks level in their assigned area
• Prepares lubrication plans and their implementation
• Prepares daily inspection PM's
• Prepares of preventative maintenance plans
• Creates instructions for routine maintenance-running inspections
• Develops the preventive and routine plans and spare parts lists.
• Ensures optimum machine operating conditions / parameters.
• Organizes works for maintenance shutdowns, to avoid downtime
• Performes Commissioning/Test/Startup after preventive or routine worksOops: That line needs closing
• Works with team leaders and technicians in solving problems
• Coordinates third parties and contractors
• Analyzes the failure modes and reporting
• Understands complex problems and executes corrective actions
• Keeps up with the documentation of equipment and spare parts.
• Keeps contact with machine suppliers and builds strong relationships with Machine suppliers and OEMs
• Introduces internal training for technicians and operators
• Leads or is however involved in Root Cause analysis or Kaizen events.
