Job summary

Healthcare Realty Trust is seeking an experienced on-site Maintenance Engineer for medical office buildings in Frisco/Plano, TX. The role requires strong knowledge of building automation, HVAC, electrical systems and life-safety equipment, with on-call duties approximately every five weeks and occasional travel within the Frisco/Plano area.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read blueprints, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with tenants and operations staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building automation systems and HVAC.
• Experience with electrical systems, boilers and life-safety equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and maintain maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance for medical office buildings.
• Complete maintenance work orders and update records in the system.
• Operate and monitor building systems and respond to on-call duties.

Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer including Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of Building Automation Systems, electrical systems, controls, condensing boilers, package rooftop HVAC, variable air volume systems, chemical treatment, emergency generation equipment, plumbing, transfer switches and life safety systems.* Performs assigned repairs; building upkeep duties as needed (periodic pressure washing and leaf blowing as needed); emergency and preventive maintenance in a timely manner. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner.* Basic skills with Microsoft Office. Uses personal computer and smart phone for work order system and email.* Position requires excellent organization, verbal, written and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to read blueprints.* Takes ownership of work, is flexible, and focuses on creating a positive and welcoming impression.* Must be self-sufficient, team player. Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders.* On-call approximately every five weeks, travel to buildings within Plano / Frisco metropolitan area.
