Job summary

Kolter Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Courtyard Delray Beach in Delray Beach, FL. The role focuses on maintaining building systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to service requests to ensure guest comfort and safety.

You will repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related equipment, keep accurate records, and assist during emergencies while upholding safety standards and hotel service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk and lift occasionally as typical for hotel maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain facility building and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance across mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry, and plumbing.
• Respond to elevator breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Respond to engineering service requests promptly and courteously.
• Keep the engineering work area clean and organized.
• Ensure tools and equipment are secured after use.
• Assist in emergencies to protect guests and staff.
• Follow safety procedures and report repairs.

Overview

A Kolter Hospitality Maintenance Engineer delivers service excellence and facilitates a positive guest experience while maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department. This position is responsible for hotel maintenance including preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.

Performance Expectations

• Repair and maintain facility building and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property such as mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry and plumbing.
• Respond to elevator breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Respond and resolve engineering service requests in courteous, efficient manner.
• Maintain engineering work area in an orderly and clean fashion.
• Ensure all tools/equipment used are returned to the shop and/or secured in proper storage area.
• Assist in handling emergencies in order to protect our guests and team members and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
• Follow proper lost and found procedures for items left behind in a guest room.
• Report any items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.
