Job summary

Vylor, Inc. on-site at Corteva in St. Joseph, Illinois, is seeking an on-site Electrical Technician to operate and maintain process equipment, perform electrical repairs, and support safety and quality programs.

The role requires NEC interpretation, PLC and SAP system awareness, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Applicants should be prepared for overtime and seasonal scheduling while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrical experience.
• Ability to interpret NEC codes.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning company apps.
• Physical ability to climb and work in elevated areas, stand and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Detail oriented with multitasking and organizational skills.
• Maintain equipment records and prints as required.
• Commitment to health and safety policies.
• Willing to work overtime and shift hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control devices for process and facility.
• Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting and scheduled inspections of equipment.
• Review and assist program leaders and teams with electrical safety program adherence.
• Adhere to quality systems & safety procedures including OSHA, PSM, and Corteva safety procedures.
• Make recommendations to improve safety through electrical programs or process changes.
• Various other duties as assigned.
