Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Direct Hire Maintenance Electrician/Plant Electrician for a unionized facility in Portland, OR. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to keep production lines running smoothly.

The candidate will read schematics, install wiring, and service electrical components, with shift options available. A valid Oregon electrician license is required, and the job offers a competitive annual salary

Qualifications

• Welding Arc (Mig & Stick) experience.
• Gas cutting capability and related safety practices.
• Preventive maintenance experience on industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of oil viscosity and appropriate greases.
• Proper lubrication techniques.
• Inspection for worn, broken, misaligned parts.
• Ability to read machine manuals and troubleshooting guides.
• Parts identification competency.
• Operate shop tools and machines safely.
• Use grinders for maintenance tasks.
• Operate drill presses.
• Proficiency with precision tools: micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, dial indicators.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, schematics and PLC ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC drives and related systems.

Responsabilités

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Direct Hire Maintenance Electrician or Plant Electrician for a unionized client located in Portland, OR. The person in this position will be in charge of troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, adjusting and installing as well as comfortable with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will need to have a solid background in electrical work!

The Job You Will Perform:

• Maintain production equipment
• Following all safety rules and practices
• Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels
• Perform emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations
• Accurately use measurement and test equipment
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed
• Install wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting and corrugating machinery
• Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners and photo electric devices
• Diagnose and repair/replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systemsTroubleshoot drives, i.e. AC and DC
• Read electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logic
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, and cleanup work areas as part of completing assigned tasks
• Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork
• Trouble-shoot and solve problems
• Follow through to completion with assigned responsibilities
• Maintain teamwork with other associates
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

• Current LME or Electricians License / Oregon Schedule : TBD (Day / Swing/ Graveyard all open)

Pay:

$97,000 - $105,456 /year to start depending on position (shift differential will also apply)
