Maintenance Electrician

About the job: This role involves diagnosing and repairing production equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair production equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Repair, maintain, and upgrade electrical equipment
  • Read and understand wiring schematics
  • Perform PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Use test equipment (Multimeter, Megger, thermography, etc.) to troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Knowledge of industrial 3‑phase equipment, controls, VFD drives, PLC and control devices (Allen Bradley, ABB, Foxboro)
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment up to 480 V
  • Perform calibration of 4‑20 mA instruments and other low‑voltage systems
  • Ensure conformance with Safety, GMPs, health code regulations, NEC, NFPA standards and Food Safety Policies
Desired Qualities
  • Operate machines with coaching
  • Maintain safety and quality standards for operating machines
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and fluent communication in the language used on‑site
  • Collaborate well in a diverse work environment
Qualifications
  • Oregon Electrician’s License (required)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: at least 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work any shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd), weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to work well in a team‑based environment with limited supervision
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and practical solution development
  • Ability to learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools (TPM & Lean Manufacturing)
  • Experience with high‑speed packaging lines and production equipment in food processing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Preferred: familiarity with SAP
Compensation
  • Base Salary: USD $90,000 – $100,000
  • License rate – Maintenance Electrician: $46.05 per hour
  • License rate – Lead Electrician: $47.37 per hour
  • $5,000 sign‑on bonus
  • Increasing hourly wage during the first 12 months of contract
