Job summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Machinery Mechanic for a client site in Canby, Oregon. You will repair, install, adjust, and maintain industrial production machinery and related equipment to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, using testing devices, reading blueprints, and coordinating parts and repairs. A minimum of five years of related experience and strong mechanical and technical skills are required.

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to find a reliable and experienced Industrial Machinery Mechanic for a client located in Canby, OR.

The Industrial Machinery Mechanic will be directly responsible for repairing, installing, adjusting, dismantling, moving, or overall maintenance of industrial production and processing machinery.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.


• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.


• Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.


• Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.


• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.


• Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.


• Record repairs and maintenance performed.


• Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.


• Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials, as necessary.


• Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.


• Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.


• Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.


• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.


• Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.


• Complete preventative maintenance tasks from an automated calendar system.


• Attend to and repair equipment relating to 'Line-Down' situations by urgently fixing equipment and reducing downtime as much as possible.


• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• At least five (5) years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to perform tasks at all machines. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
