WHO YOU ARE

As an Electrician Level 1, you will handle plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

In our ClosetMaid Ocala facility. A 600,000 square feet manufacturing facility.

2:30 PM - 11:00 PM - Monday - Friday (Overtime when needed)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Set up, maintain and repair production equipment and factory support systems.
  • Check and repair all plant wiring safely.
  • Electrically troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
  • Layout and install electrical wiring per N.E.C. and local codes.
  • Perform light mechanical repairs to pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Exhibit safe work practices.
  • Be flexible to work overtime.
  • Maintain specific quality standards.
  • Assist in training others in electrical related functions.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity.
  • All work must be neat and workmanship-like.
  • Ability to work in a team environment & maintain regular attendance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 4 - 6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lockout/Tagout Experience
  • Powered Equipment Experience
  • Passing score on Electrical Evaluation Test
  • Good Safety Record

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand on concrete floor with/without floor mats; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms (which may include above and/or below shoulders); bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use left and/or right hand for simple grasping; fine work, pushing/pulling and low speed assembly. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
