Job summary

CertainTeed in Portland, OR is seeking a Maintenance Electrician II to uphold and repair production line equipment, mechanical systems, and plant infrastructure in alignment with safety and quality standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, an Oregon LME license or Journeyman certification, and experience in electrical maintenance, PLCs, and CMMS SAP for work orders. Shift-based position with varying training assignments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Previous maintenance mechanic experience.
• Oregon LME license and/or Journeyman Maintenance Millwright certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication on the production line.
• Read and interpret blueprint and layout drawings.
• Understand basic pneumatic and hydraulic systems and theory.
• Use CMMS (SAP) for scheduling and completing work orders.
• Perform basic welding as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems including low and high voltage circuits.
• Install, program, commission and maintain AC/DC motor drives.
